Foremost seed potatoes, formerly known as Suttons Foremost, were introduced to the national variety list in 1954 and are considered a heritage variety.

These potatoes are characterised by their short to oval shape, white skin, and waxy white flesh, making them versatile for baking, boiling, or adding to salads. With the included instructions, they are easy to plant in either the ground or containers.

For a June to July harvest, they should be planted between March and May.
